Wow, that was a loooooong flight!!!

That was a seriously long day of travel! After leaving the lovely Wellesley Inn, Jake and I headed over to the Atanta airport, and caught the first leg of our flight to Chicago O'Hare airport. We were lucky enough to get exit row seats for that part of our trip, which means lots of extra leg room. Yay!

We had about three hours to kill at the Chicago Airport, and I have to tell you, there's not much to do in the international terminal there. There aren't even any shops or anything after you get through security. Still, we were so excited that the time went by pretty quickly, and before we knew it, it was time to get on our plane!

The highlight of the trip for me was that the Sex and the City movie was one of the movie choices! I might have watched it twice (ok, three times, it was a REALLY long flight!).

By the time we touched down in Narita, Jake and I were both so happy to be off the plane. Immigration and Customs were both a breeze, and all of our bags made it here ok! We had to stop at the currency exchange booth and get some Yen, and then we had to buy tickets for the train ride to Tokyo. Here's Jake waiting in line at the Narita train station.

Jake's japanese came in handy once we got the tickets, because he was able to ask for directions to the train platform, and also ask for help figuring out which train car our seats were in.

The train ride took about an hour and a half, but it went by quickly. I think we both slept most of the way. After that, we were FINALLY in Tokyo!!!!!!

I think I would have to drug Eric for him (and me) to make it through that flight!
