A clown themed birthday party

Saturday night we went to a birthday party for Rebekah, a friend of Billys. Rebekah and her husband live in a huge apartment in comparison to most Tokyo apartments, so they were able to actually have a house party, which is something that doesn't happen very often around here. There were about 30 people there, and actually about 6 of us were from Atlanta! Rebekah and her husband just moved to Tokyo from ATL about 4 months ago, and there was another couple at the party that also came from Georgia. It really is a small world. The party had a clown theme, so there were lots of wigs, makeup and balloon animals around, which made for some good conversation. We grilled up sausages for dinner, and drank a japanese drink called Chu-Hi. Chu-Hi is delicious. It comes in a can, similar to beer, and it is made with a japanese alcohol called Sho Chu, thats mixed with something carbonated and a fruit flavoring. We had lemon, apple and grapefruit Chu-His. I liked the grapefruit the best. It was so tart and refreshing.

The party was in a part of the city called Odaiba. It took us about 30 minutes to get there by train, but I'm glad we had this excuse to get out there and see the area. Odaiba has a humongous ferris wheel right near the train station, which was interesting, and I also got to see a wonderful view of Tokyo Bay from Rebekahs balcony.Overall it was a great night, and a very unique Tokyo experience.
